Shipping and Delivery

Merchandise ordered from the Vagabundos del Mar (VDM) online store in stock will be shipped within one week. For items not in stock notification by email, fax or phone of the delay, expected delivery time and opportunity to cancel the order will be provided.  If VDM is not able to fulfill the order for merchandise within 30 days, the order will be cancelled.  Notification will be provided by fax, email or phone and prompt refund will be made. Overnight orders will ship the same day ordered if order is received by 11:00 am Pacific Standard Time. If the order is made after 11:00 am Pacific Standard Time, the order will ship the next business day. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Normal delivery of items purchased online will be made by the U.S. Postal Service or Federal Express (Fedex). The order will ship by the means that the purchaser has chosen.  Delivery charges and schedules will be subject to each carrier’s existing rates, delivery schedules and the zone to which the delivery is being made.

Mexican vehicle insurance policies purchased online may be downloaded and printed by the purchaser of the policy from the website at the time of purchase. Policies ordered by phone by calling 800-474-2252 or 707-374-5511, or by mailing to VDM at 190 Main Street, Rio Vista, California 94571, or faxing an application to 707-374-6843, may be delivered by fax from the VDM Headquarters Office to a fax number selected by the purchaser; by email, if an email address has been provided, or by U. S. Mail, UPS or Fedex, depending upon the insured’s choice. There will be no charge for standard U.S. Mail. For faster shipping, rates charged by Express Mail, Fedex, UPS, or another carrier of choice will apply and will be dependent upon the location of receipt. Delivery time will be dependent on the timetable selected by the insured and the schedule of the carrier.

VDM is allowed to issue to Members the following items from the Mexican Government: Fishing Licenses and Boat Permits. The charge for these will be at the rate the Mexican Government charges plus a small handling fee. Delivery will be made by U.S. Mail or email at no charge. For faster shipping, rates charged by Express Mail, Fedex, UPS , or another carrier of choice will apply and will be dependent upon the location of receipt. Delivery time will be dependent on the timetable selected by the insured and the schedule of the carrier.

When ordering Mexican vehicle insurance policies and Mexican permits from the VDM office, it is recommended that purchasers consider the date required for those items to be delivered to them – such as their date of departure, the method of delivery and the time of year.  For example, U.S. Postal Service deliveries during holidays and peak periods such as around April 15 tax filing time may not be at their normal scheduled delivery times.  Delivery insurance for lost items in transit for Mexican permits is the responsibility of the purchaser.
