FMM Application
We have these available for members only. There will be short times the office
will not have them available because the process requires that we submit a report
and account for each and every numbered FMM for approval before Mexican Immigration
will release another batch. Please allow two to three weeks for processing. The
price is $26 plus a handling fee.
FMM's AT TECATE: it is easier to park on the U.S. side, walk across to Immigration in the building on your right. Again, Always ask for the maximum of 180 days.
FMM's AT TIJUANA: Stay in the far right lane under the sign “For Declaration Only”, park and walk to the Immigration office in the long building to the right. Always ask for the maximum of 180 days.
The name of the Ministry of Fisheries (Pesca) has been changed to the Department of Environment, Natural Resources and Fisheries.
1. A Fishing License: is required for any individual, regardless of age, who wishes to fish in fresh or salt water in Mexico. This rule applies to all people fishing out of boats or fishing underwater while skin diving. A Fishing License is not needed when fishing from land.
2. A Boat Permit:** As of 1/08, the Mexican Government has terminated the requirement for Boat Permits.
3. All passengers, regardless of age, aboard a boat in Mexican waters that is engaged in fishing must have a Mexican Fishing License in their possession, regardless if they are fishing or not.
4. All Fishing Licenses are Personal and Non-transferable. Any alteration, mutilation or transfer of these documents will render them void and may result in fines or temporary seizure of your boat. HANDLE THEM WITH CARE!
